SSE is going to present its new and innovative Merchandising & POS Displays at this year's Drinktec - World Fair for Beverage and Liquid Food Technology - in Munich. The exhibition takes place at New Munich Trade Fair Centre from 14.09.-19.09.2009 and includes visitors from the soft-drink and fruit juice industry, mineral water suppliers, dairies, wine and champagne producers, distillers, breweries, distilleries, wholesale and retail beverage merchants; hotels, restaurants and caterers, service providers and advertising, public authorities, universities and specialist colleges.

Trips and falls in the retail environment are one of the leading causes of public compensation claims according to the injuries board of Ireland. A record €65 million was paid out in years 2007 and 2008 with accidents in the retail environment accounting for a staggering 24% of the overall figure.

 

Compounding these numbers is the latest set of IBI statistics that indicated that trips and falls account for 67% of the overall total injuries awarded from claims.
